Hopefully you have read our blog post about blueprints to give you a good overall idea of the blueprint review process. As I mentioned, our first step is to bid based solely on the blueprints. If we find that there’s an item not to code, we make a note of what’s not to code and what will be needed to get it to code. If we notice there’s only one light in the middle of the kitchen, we make a note to confirm that’s really what you want. Is there a light switch behind the door in the corner in an awkward spot? We make a note of it and let you know a better location. The first bid we send is generally the starting point. It’s where we get a good rough idea of what it will take to get the job overall job done.
You don’t have a set of blueprints? No problem! In that case, we will require a job walk of the property so you can go room by room to explain the changes that you’d like to take place. We will take detailed notes and provide numbers based on the discussion during the walk through.
What’s next? We set up a meeting to dream! Click here to go to step 2.
